About the Artist

It was clear from the very beginning that Michael was born with a natural artistic ability. His mother Pennee noticed that Michael, at a very early age, was drawing images he saw on television and in magazines. For the past 30 years Michael has been drawn to our native Indian's culture and spiritualism as well as the simple beauty of nature and has done extensive art work on these subjects. Michael resides with his wife and family in the beautiful mountain town of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada where he is surrounded by the mountains, streams, wildlife and native culture's he holds so dear. His artwork reflects the deep respect he holds for nature and all its beauty in its simplest forms. His work has appeared on the Indian Cultural Center in Kelowna, as well as in several magazines and newspapers. He is fast becoming one of the most well known and respected young artists to come out of Canada. Over the past several years Michael has also been asked to depict wildlife scenes on some conventional objects, such as offshore racing boats, motorcycles, and racing cars. Even in this format, he still manages to capture the mystery and majesty of his world. Michael has agreed to allow HSS to offer some of his work in the form of tee-shirts, hats and jackets and we hope you enjoy his art as much as we do.
