The medicine bottles have been attributed to the New York Medical Supply Co and some had NY engraved on the bottom of the bottles.
These medicine bottles were recovered from the shipwreck of the brig Baltic which was destined for Galveston Texas at the end of the Civil war. Several sizes of these antique medicine bottles are available for purchase.
Many Confederate soldiers were awaiting medications for wounds suffered during the civil war and these antique medicine bottles full of medications were ordered by the owner of the Tremont Hotel in Galveston Texas for his hotel and general store.
