The Charles Ney Treasure

Charles Ney operated a brewery for many years in Henderson until prohibition went into effect. Soon afterward he died. It is known that Ney amassed a considerable fortune, but it was not found in banks or in his home. In 1924 the brewery was razed. Two years later a shaft was sunk 30 feet in an effort to locate the underground vault where the money was believed to have been stashed. The vault was not found.
